My stay at The Loft House Barcelona was a mixed experience. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from Gaudi's famous landmarks, and the price was reasonable for the city. However, the facilities could use significant improvement; the shared bathrooms felt crowded and were often not clean enough.

Rooms
5.0
I stayed in a 10-bed female dormitory which felt cramped, especially with only one restroom available for many guests. The beds were acceptable, but I did notice some issues with comfort and privacy. The lighting in the room was dim, and the entire ambiance felt a bit run down. I'd hoped for a more welcoming vibe.
Service
7.0
The staff members were generally friendly and helpful. During check-in, I had a fast process which was appreciated after a long trip. However, I felt the overall engagement could be warmer.
Location
9.0
The location is one of the best features! It's conveniently nestled next to several Gaudi landmarks and only a short walk to the metro. I found it easy to explore the city from here, which was a significant plus.
Dining
5.0
While breakfast wasn't included, I found nearby cafes that offered much better options than what the hostel provided. I recommend skipping the breakfast coupon offered at a local cafe.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were lacking. The number of bathrooms didn't seem adequate for the guest load. Additionally, the showers weren't warm during my stay, and I had a difficult time managing storage space for my belongings. The common areas were also a bit cramped.

5.4/10

I had a mixed experience at The Loft House Barcelona. While the staff were super friendly and the location was perfect, the showers had almost no hot water, and the kitchen could be better stocked. I'd definitely say the vibe was great for exploring the city, but a few things could be improved for comfort.

Rooms
7.0
I stayed in a female 6-bed dorm, and while it was mostly clean, it felt a bit cramped and didn't match the photos I saw. The blackout curtains were a nice touch for privacy, but the ventilation could've been better as it got stuffy at times.
Service
6.0
The staff were helpful, but there were moments when the receptionist didn't speak English, which was a bit frustrating. Plus, the late check-in fee had to be paid in cash, which seemed odd since they took credit cards for everything else.
Location
10.0
The hostel is right in the city center, close to the metro station and lots of great restaurants. It’s a fantastic spot to explore Barcelona, which I really loved.
Dining
6.0
While breakfast was included, I didn't think it was worth it. There are so many awesome places to eat nearby, so I opted to skip the hostel breakfast and explore instead.
Facilities
6.0
The kitchen had plenty of space but could use more cooking equipment. They did have a nice outdoor area and some good cleaning services, but the showers and broken lockers were a letdown.

I experienced a range of feelings during my stay at The Loft House Barcelona. The stylish interior instantly caught my eye, but I soon realized that the cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired. The staff seemed warm at times, yet I encountered moments of frustration with their service. Overall, it was a mixed bag of comfort and convenience versus some cleanliness and maintenance issues.

Rooms
6.0
The beds were comfortable and provided a good sense of privacy in the shared rooms with curtains and storage space beneath. However, I stayed in a room without a window, which felt a bit too dark and depressing.
Service
5.0
The reception was a mixed experience. While I appreciated having someone to welcome me even when I checked in late, some staff members were not as accommodating, which occasionally affected my stay.
Location
8.0
I loved that the hostel was located very close to the city center, making it easy to access local attractions and the nearest metro station, which was about a 10-minute walk.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were limited, with breakfast not included, but I enjoyed the nearby local bakery and had some great Italian coffee.
Facilities
5.0
The common areas were nice, especially the outdoor courtyard. Yet, the bathrooms were not always clean and were limited in number for the number of guests.

I stayed in a female 6 bed dorm. the room was clean and, although a little cramped, it was mostly quiet at night. The storage under the bunk beds was expansive, which I really liked, but I found the upper bed a bit challenging. The blackout curtains were a fantastic addition for privacy.

The hostel's facilities were mostly well-kept. the kitchen was spacious and clean, though lacking an oven. The patio areas were lovely for relaxing or working remotely, which was a nice touch.

5.8/10

I had a great stay at The Loft House Barcelona. The location was perfect, just a short walk from major Gaudi landmarks and surrounded by beautiful architecture. The staff were incredibly friendly and even helped me recover my lost wallet, which I really appreciated. However, some of the facilities could use a bit of modernization, as I encountered a few issues with the overall hotel condition.

Rooms
8.0
The room was clean and spacious with decent air conditioning. However, I found the beds a bit short, which might be uncomfortable for taller guests. Also, be aware that only a sheet is provided, and it can get quite cold at night.
Service
10.0
The service was really good, with helpful staff and quick check-in. They made sure I felt safe, especially since I was traveling alone, offering me a locker and storage space.
Location
10.0
The location couldn't be better! It was very close to the Diagonal Metro Station and within walking distance of must-see attractions like Casa Batllo and Sagrada Familia.
Dining
8.0
There’s a great café in the hostel, and I loved the nearby bakery with delicious pastries. However, dining options outside are a bit limited if you want variety.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were decent but need some updates. The bathrooms felt a bit cramped for the number of guests, and the common areas could use some modern touches.
